Eva is a WordPress theme template for photography portfolios or visual works. I built these theme to challenge myself and prove that I could design and develop a theme in just 4 days.

This theme is based on the HTML5 Blank template, which provides a basic structure with no need of any initial setting, apart from the project name. Since the challenge was to build a functional and clean theme, it doesn’t has any special feature, although its neat design is focused on making stand up the visual work or pictures of the portfolio.

These are the theme main features:

• It has responsive design.
• It allows to set posts with or without sidebar.
• Footer text can be customize.
• Meets basic accessibility standards.

I followed the official WordPress Theme Handbook for build this template and it was published into the official WordPress repository after a couple of revisions.

The design is simple and minimalistic, with a retro vibe due to the color palette and typographies used, which are Helvetica and Georgia.

I really enjoyed this challenge, though it wasn’t a paid work. I always love to design a build nice and simple themes like these 🙂
